How to start frugal college cooking

Every time that I go to the grocery store, I intend to buy lots of things that I can actually cook meals with, but it seems like I always stock up on boxes of macaroni and cheese, chips and soda. Well, I’m going to make more of an effort to fix myself real meals now and even made it one of my New Year’s resolutions.

A penny saved is a penny earned!

While I was home I got my mom to help me look up some easy recipes that I should be able to fix without spending too much time or money. While we were researching that I randomly found the site www.ClearWirelessInternet.com and after I looked through it a little bit, I decided to change over my internet service at my college apartment to it.

Two Sexy Women Cooks

To start frugal cooking you just need to budget your money and use the necessary tools to cook at home, just like these two roommates who are great at helping each other out!

I know that frugal college cooking isn’t going to be the easiest thing in the world to stick to, but I’m really going to work on buying the right stuff to have on hand for it so I can stick to my plan.

Getting out of Debt

Thanks for the article from Jermaine Haynes

When our second child was born, my husband and I decided that I would stop working and stay home full-time. The first few months I was home, we acquired a large amount of credit card debt and desperately needed to pay it off. In order to do that, we had to make a strict budget and agreed to stick to it. Each week, we withdrew a set amount of cash from our checking account. This money was to be used for groceries and eating out.

Cutting Up Credit Cards to Cut Debt

Gas was the only thing that we put on the credit card because it acquired points that could be used to get cash back. Instead of going to movies, we had movie night at home and rented movies. We went to Texaselectricityproviders, compared rates, and were able to lower our energy bill. We even set our thermostat two degrees higher in the summer and two degrees lower in the winter. It has definitely been an adjustment for our family to stick to this budget, but it is worth it for me to be able to stay at home with my children.
